It’s sometimes easy for people to find the negative in Mixed Martial Arts, as well as the fighters themselves but for 72 Year old Pam Dohrman she will never forget her encounter with local MMA Fighters Kekoa Agustin and Dominic Abalos after they saved her life in the Koke‘e wilderness of Kauai. On Saturday afternoon Dohrman left her Koke’e cabin for what was suppose to be a routine hike, but after getting lost and spending two long days and nights with almost no water it quickly turned into a life or death situation. Just when it looked like all hope was lost Kauai amateur MMA fighters Agustin and Abalos volunteered their time to help look for the missing Dohrman. Avid Hunters Agustin and Abalos knew the Koke’e wilderness pretty well and with a few other friends Clifford and Clifton Mission they sought out to find the missing hiker. After a few hours they found Dohrman off the Kaluapuhi Trail, she was dehydrated but in good condition. Dohrman was taken to Wilcox Memorial Hospital, where she was treated for dehydration and released four hours later in good spirt’s.
MMAAbsolute.com spoke with Kauai Knockout Championship Promotor Kipi Akana today ” These are two good boys who could have stayed home but volunteered there time to find this missing lady” he went on to say “You know it’s always great to have a happy ending but when a persons life is at stake and everything works out thats wonderful”.
