Although nothing is set in stone the MMA World is a buzz about the possible rematch between Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit. After a close fight at UFC 143 that left Diaz criticizing the judges’ decision, and threatening to retire from the sport altogether. Nick’s camp immediately requested a rematch, but Condit’s manager stated that they are not interested in fighting Diaz again and would rather take the fight with St-Pierre, even if it means waiting until late 2012. When President of the UFC Dana White was asked to comment about the Verdict and the possibility of a rematch he went on to say,“I know [St-Pierre] wanted that Diaz fight bad, but it’s not going to be Diaz so he better get angry with Carlos Condit or focus on Carlos Condit or whatever he needs to do. Carlos Condit won this fight. No matter how much Georges and Nick hate each other, Carlos Condit won”
But on Tuesday night Dana White announced on his Twitter page “The rumor is true. Carlos did accept the fight today and Carlos is coming [to Las Vegas, Nevada to meet with me] on Friday not Thursday,” White did not say when the rematch will take place but it will be interesting to see what will happen in there next match and if anyone’s game plan might change because of how disappointed fight fan’s where after there UFC 143 Main Event bout ended.
