Conor McGregor has quickly become the pride of Ireland when it comes to Mixed Martial Arts. After selling out a show in Dublin earlier this month and defeating Diego Brandao, McGregor signed on to fight Dustin Poirier at UFC 178 in September.

McGregor ran across this unbelievable street art mural of himself and Poirier, and captured the moment on his Instagram.

UFC light heavyweight Anthony Rumble Johnson is coming off a huge KO against Lil Nog this past Saturday at UFC on Fox 12. The knockout marked his second straight Octagon victory, with the first one coming against Phil Davis.

Johnson joined comedian Adam Hunter on the MMA Roasted podcast and responded to an interesting question when Hunter asked if he would fight former Blackzilian teammate Alistair Overeem, to which he said “at any weight.”

UFC middleweight Luke Rockhold has been trading shots with Michael Bisping via social media lately. Bisping is booked to fight Cung Le at UFC Macau next month, however Rockhold does not have a fight booked, and as a result is campaigning for a fight with Bisping pretty aggressively.

His latest campaign took a bit of a low blow at Bisping who had to undergo eye surgery earlier this year. Rockhold said he was going to take out Bisping’s good eye. He spoke with BleacherReport:

“If Bisping squeaks by (Cung Le), I’ll take him, take out his other eye. Bisping came after me out of nowhere. I didn’t know where it came from this time. Even on ‘UFC Tonight,’ he went on a rampage talking about me and teenagers, pool parties and my little pinky toe, I don’t know. I heard all of this stuff on Twitter about it and I started gathering all the information because I didn’t want to respond too quick until I saw what he said. I had to obviously give him my piece of mind and settle it. It’s not my fault the UFC hires me to go host a pool party and they don’t choose Bisping. The Bisping fight? That would be amazing. I would love to shut his mouth and get paid for it. I can’t imagine better things in the world, that would be nice.”

Former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin wants one more UFC fight before he hangs the gloves up, but he understands that if he is to take one more fight, it needs to be soon. With his new position as an Executive for ONE FC, Franklin is quite busy and he knows that may play a part in his decision.

He spoke with Submission Radio:

No, not yet. I’m really acclimating to this job right now. It’s a decision that I’ll have to make real soon, and I really need to sit down with the people at ONE FC and talk about that. Like the reality of – because I have some responsibilities here, and I’m travelling, I’m travelling quite a bit back and forth between and State and Asia now – and with the reality is with me continuing with my responsibilities with ONE FC, and then also prepping for a fight and all that kind of stuff. And I’ll have to sit down with them real soon and talk with them about that. Because I’m getting at a point now where I need to pull the trigger on that last fight, because I’m so far distanced from my previous fight, that basically if I’m gonna do something I need to do it now

Franklin hasn’t fought since 2012 when he lost to Cung Le via KO. Prior to that Franklin had hop-scotched wins and losses going all the way back to 2008.

UFC President Dana White captured a selfie for his Instagram of himself and Anderson Silva just moments after Silva signed the bout agreement to fight Nick Diaz on January 31st. Check it out:

Dana White announced earlier today that Anderson Silva would be making his UFC return against Nick Diaz on January 31st, however initially no further details were given.

Now the UFC President has given fans more information about the bout, which will headline the UFC’s Super Bowl Weekend card, which will likely be UFC 183.

“The greatest off all-time Anderson Silva is back. His doctor gave him clearance to fight. The fight the fans have been waiting for, the fight the fans have been screaming for.. also back is Nick Diaz so we have made Anderson Silva vs. Nick Diaz Jan. 31 in Las Vegas. It will be the main event and it will be five rounds,”

“Nick Diaz is a very popular fighter. If he comes in and beats Anderson Silva, he could fight for the title. He’s right in there. It would be a huge, huge win for him,” White said of Diaz.
