Max Holloway Talks about fighting Kaleo Kwan & Training with Jeremy Stephens

On October 21st Max "Blessed" Holloway, who is one of Hawaii's best Lightweight fighter's, will take on one of Hawaii's all time great's in Kaleo "Light Out" Kwan for the Destiny World Lightweight Championship Title. Holloway who is the current X-1 World Event's Lightweight Champion, is undefeated with a record of 4-0, with win's over top Hawaii fighter's like Duke Saragosa, Bryson Kamaka, & Harris Sarmiento. With a win over a Veteran fighter like Kwan, it would only help to solidify his spot at being Hawaii's Best Lightweight fighter, but Kwan is no easy task. With over twenty Pro bout's under his belt, and his experience in fighting with MMA Promotion's like Rumble On The Rock, Strike Force, King Of The Cage, and most recently The Australian Fighting Championship's, you know he will be more then ready to step into that cage and make the most out of he's Title shot.

We had the chance to speak with Max, who is actually training in San Diego right now with one the best lightweight fighter in the UFC,Jeremy Stephens, who is winding his training Camp to take on Anthony Pettis.

MMAABSOLUTE.COM: When you first got the news that you would be facing Kaleo Kwan for the Destiny  Title, what ran through your mind?

Holloway: Well my first thoughts was that he's a real cool guy and a nice person, but it's just bad timing  because the way I'm looking at it, he's another guy that's in my way to get where I want to be.

MMAABSOLUTE.COM: How do you see this fight ending?

Holloway: Kaleo's a Striker and I'm a Striker and in every fight that I go into, I'm looking for the finish, but  you never know it could end early or it could be a five round war. We'll see what happen's come fight  night.

MMAABSOLUTE.COM: Your currently training with Jeremy Stephens in the mainland. How is that going?

Holloway: It's going real good, I get to follow Jeremy's training, his strength & conditioning. I'm feeling  stronger, I'm eating good, I feel in shape. This is the best that I ever felt, I'm also doing a lot of Wrestling &  Jiu-Jitsu up here, so I'm getting my ground game up. I'm feeling more like a complete fighter.

MMAABSOLUTE.COM: On a personal note, you are a few month away from becoming a first time Father.  How has that affected you?

HOLLOWAY: It just pushes me to fight even harder because its like I have another mouth to feed. I already  push myself hard but now I have to push twice as hard. People will see come Oct 21st.

MMAABSOLUTE.COM: Well Max Thank you again for talking with us. Is there anything that you would like to  say or any shout outs.

Holloway: First of all I would like to say thank you to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for putting me down  this path. I would like to give a shout out to Jeremy Stephens and Camp Victory, I would like to say thank  to my Fiance'e for all that she does for me. We just made one year together, and she is my life. To  everyone who supports me , all of my Sponsors Hawaii Unite, DNO Enterprises, Hawaii Unite, Side bang  Enterprises, Tatical Strength & Conditioning.

Mmaabsolute.com will be bringing  you results and interview from this event as soon as we get then. If there is any changes we will be letting you the fan's know as soon as it becomes known.
