Hilo MMA fighter and Brazilian Jui-Jitsu Black Belt Reagan Penn will be returning to the cage on November 5th in Moline, Illinois at the iwireless center. There has been a lot of speculation as to who his opponent might be, but today it was announced on BJ Penn.com that it will be 6’1 178lbs Evan Cutts of Dallas. Cutts hold an unblemished record of 2-0 and was named “Amateur Fighter of the year” on ESPN.go.com’s list of best of Dallas Fourth Worth MMA in 2010. The 20 year old Cutts has won all of his Pro fights via submission, and 3 out of 4 of his Amateur fight’s by submission as well. Going against a fighter like Penn he will need to keep his ground game up to par if he hopes to win in November. This will be Reagan’s second Career MMA bout, his first was back in August at the Neil Blaisdell Arena when he dismantled Paul Gardiner via First round Rear-Naked Choke at ProElite’s return event.
Also fighting on the November card will be Former UFC Heavyweight Champion 29-7 Tim “The Maineiac” Sylvia taking on 12-4 Andreas “Big Daddy” Kraniotakes. Another former UFC Champion 16-9 Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski will be locking horn’s with 247-48-10 Travis “The Ironman” Fulton. In the opening round of ProElite’s Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament it will be 2009 NCAA Heavyweight Wrestling Champion Mark Ellis 1-0 will be matched up against 5-1 Ryan Martinez, and undefeated heavy hitter Justin Frazier who’s record stand’s at 5-0 will take on Illinois James Bosler who’s record stands at 3-1.
