Nate Diaz has been been suspended by the UFC after using a gay slur in a tweet Thursday afternoon.
“We are very disappointed by Nate Diaz’s comments, which are in no way reflective of our organization. Nate is currently suspended pending internal investigation and we will provide further comment once the matter has been decided,” the UFC said in a statement. “I feel bad for Pat Healy that they took innocent mans money and I think the guy who took the money is the biggest Fag in the World…”
Diaz tweeted this statement in his defense of Pat Healy, who was stripped of his bonus money after a positive marijuana test at UFC 159. The “guy who took the money” is believed to be Bryan Caraway, who was recently awarded the submission of the night bonus. Healy submitted Jim Miller at UFC 159 this past month in Newark, N.J. But after his positive test for Marijuana, the win was overturned to a no contest. Diaz is coming off two straight losses, having fallen to Benson Henderson last year in a bout for the UFC lightweight title and Josh Thomson most recently.
After what happened to Matt Mitrione “Mitrione was suspended for an offensive rant about transgendered fighter Fallon Fox” Diaz troubles could be much more than a suspension.

Two surging featherweights will collide at UFC 160, promotion officials announced Thursday, as Dennis Bermudez faces Max Holloway.
UFC 160 takes place May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a heavyweight title rematch pitting reigning champion Cain Velasquez against former EliteXC belt holder Antonio Silva. The evening’s main card will also see four heavy hitters lock horns, as Mark Hunt faces Junior dos Santos and James Te Huna meets Glover Teixeira.
Bermudez, 26, rides a three-fight winning streak heading into his showdown with Holloway. “The Menace” introduced himself to UFC fans as a member of “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 14 before falling to Diego Brandao at the live finale in December 2011. The prospect has since gone unbeaten, notching wins over Pablo Garza, Tommy Hayden and Matt Grice, whom Bermudez most recently topped in a “Fight of the Night” winning bout at UFC 157 last month.
Like his foe, Holloway has also won three straight fights, posting a 3-1 record last year. After submitting to Dustin Poirier in his Octagon debut, Holloway, 21, thoroughly outpointed Pat Schilling before knocking out “TUF 14” vet Justin Lawrence last August. Most recently, “Blessed” edged the hard-swinging Leonard Garcia in a Dec. 29 split decision at UFC 155.

A major cut suffered in training that required several stitches will keep Rory MacDonald from a highly anticipated welterweight fight against B.J. Penn at UFC 152 next month.
UFC President Dana White on Saturday told MMAjunkie.com of the injury following Saturday’s post-event news conference for UFC on FOX 4, which took place at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
MacDonald (13-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) and Penn (16-8-2 MMA, 12-7-2 UFC) had been booked for the main card of UFC 152, which is set for Sept. 22 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
White said MacDonald’s cut is over his left eye and said he only found out Saturday night. White said UFC matchmaker Joe Silva showed him a picture of the deep cut.
White also said he has not yet informed Penn that MacDonald is out of the fight and doesn’t know if Penn will remain on the card.
“Rory’s out. He got cut open today. Wide open – 38, 48 stitches, something like that,” White said. “No contact for a month. (The fight is) off. I found out tonight, halfway through the show.”
Penn announced a somewhat informal retirement after a unanimous decision loss to Nick Diaz at UFC 137 in October 2011. But MacDonald was able to lure him out for the fight earlier this summer, calling out the former two-division champion.
In recent weeks, the fight was in the news when both fighters agreed to undergo regular pre-fight drug testing through the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association.
