Mixed Martial Arts return’s to Kauai and this just might be the most stacked card to ever hit Kauai. Fighters from the Big Island, Maui,Oahu, and Kauai will be putting it all on the line to see who is the better Fighter. In the nights Main Event it will be the always dangerous, Eben Kaneshiro will taking on New Jersey native who now train’s out of 808 Fight Factory Johny Pecyna. This will a fight that you dont want to miss, Kaneshiro has been in the cage with top caliber fighter such as Urijah Faber, Nam Phan,and Hawaii’s Ricky Wallace, and although alot of people might not to familiar with Johny, believe me he is a fighter that always comes to fight with bad intentions. In the Co-Main event it will be Oahu’s Maki Pitolo taking on Kauai’s Jason Camarillo for the 170.lbs Title. Also set to fight for the Interium 125.lbs Title will be 808 Fight Factory’s Shane Biven taking on Hawaiian Fighting Arts Las Vegas student Junior Gomez. With the event less than a month away, the UFC 156 fight card is nearing completion with the latest addition being a bantamweight bout pitting Chico Camus against Octagon newcomer Dustin Kimura.

UFC officials announced the bout Tuesday morning.

Camus (12-3) is making his sophomore trip to the Octagon. He drew a tough fight with Dustin Pague at UFC 150 back in September, but came out on top, winning a unanimous decision.

He’s the latest in a string of top-level fighters emerging from the Roufusport gym in Wisconsin.

Camus will serve as the welcoming committee for Kamura (9-0).

The Hawaiian is not only making his first trip to the Octagon, but UFC 156 in Las Vegas also marks the first time he’s fought professionally in the continental United States. The majority of his previous bouts have taken place in Hawaii, with his most recent victory being in the Philippines.

UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo puts his belt on the line in the UFC 156 main event opposite Frankie Edgar, who is making his featherweight debut at the Feb. 2 event in Las Vegas.

 

 

Thats right, MMAAbsolute.com has heard it through the grape vine that Dustin Kimura is the latest Hawaii MMA Fighter to sign with the Ultimate Fighting Championship “UFC” Promotion. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, MMAAbsolute.com has heard it from numerous sources that Kimura, who currently holds at 9-0 record and trains out of Gracie Technics will be making his UFC Debut on Feb 2nd of this year at UFC 156 Aldo vs Edgar. We have yet to heard who his opponent might be but as we all here in Hawaii has seen in the past Kimura always come ready to fight no matter if it’s a stand up war or ground fight, and when people are quick to write him off that just seems to be when he performs at his best.

In his most recent bout Kimura took on Guy Delumeau at Pacific Xtreme Combat 34 “PXC” in which he stopped Delumeau in the third round by KO, and in his bout before that Kimura took on Highly talked about Brazilian Fighter Damaso Pereira at Destiny MMA’s Na Koa card. Pereira is trained under who many consider the world’s pound for pound best MMA Fighter in the world Anderson ‘The Spider” Silva, but it took Kimura 2 rounds to stop Pereira by TKO.
