King of the Cage Hawaii return’s with “Mana”

 

King of the cage will be returning to the Neil Blaisdell Arena on October 20th and like always they have put together a line up of Matches that you will not want to miss. In the nights Main Event, making his return to the cage wil be UFC Veteran Wesley “Cabbage” Correa taking on StrikeForce Veteran and X-1 World Heavyweight Champion Lolohea Mahe, both Correa & Mahe have some of the strongest chins in MMA, and areknown to be stand up Fighters so you know this will be fireworks. Mahe is coming off of a second round TKO Victory over Hilo’s Chad Thomas and has a impressive record of  5-2 while Correa also has a winning record of 19-14, and have been in the cage and won against Fighters such as Joe Riggs, David “Tank” Abbott, Jason Lambert, and Justin Eilers. With a combind weight of over 500.lbs this will be Fight to remember.

In the Co-Main event it will be a pair of Tough Polynesians that have been making Big Waves in the Light Heavyweight Division. Maui’s Ilima Maiava will be taking on Waianae’s Tasi ‘The Tyrant” Edwards. Tasi had a great Amateur Carrer winning the Up-N-Up Light Heavyweight Title before turning pro in April of 2009. Maiava wasted no time turning Pro in March of 2010 when he had only one Amateur fight which he won. Both of these Fighters not only have the Skill needed to win but train with some of the World best Trainers. Tasi who normally trains out of Edwards MMA in Oahu has been training in the Mainland for this Fight and is known to also train at the Wild Card Gym where Boxing Coach Fredy Roach calls home, and Ilima trains at 808 Top Team with Fighters like Ronald Jhun,Harris Sarmiento, and Russell Doane. He also train’s on Maui with former UFC and Ultimate Fighter Winner Kendall Grove.This has Fight of the night writing all over it and is sure to be a real crowd pleaser.  King of the Cage is one of the most will known Promotions in the world and has help tons of UFC Fighters get there start, and to have them here in Hawaii is a Tremendous opportunity for our Hawaii Fighters.
